Abstract:

Numerical simulation and analysis were carried out for the characteristics of the stability zones of a ring cavity Ti:sapphire laser on the basis of quantitatively taking account of an equivalent convex lens due to the Kerr lens effect. It was found that the stability zones differed a lot from those for the folded cavity Ti:sapphire laser in that they were well isolated narrow stripes.
